Add These 5 Things to Your Schedule at IASA 2018

IASA’s 90th Annual Educational Conference and Business Show will be held June 3–6 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

This year’s event will have over 80 educational sessions to choose from, along with three super sessions covering topics including trends in technology, cybersecurity, and professional development. The event also features executive roundtables and more than 200 exhibitors.

Here are five recommendations from Clearwater attendees for what to add to your schedule at IASA 2018.

Get Your Questions Answered at the IT Town Hall

Wednesday, June 6, 9:45-11:15 a.m.

Attendees are encouraged to send questions on hot topics in technology to the panel of experts at this year’s IT Town Hall. The panelists represent insurance carriers, analysts, and solution providers. IASA will use the hashtags #IASA2018 and #ITTownHall to take questions via social media.

Come Aboard the General Jackson Showboat with Clearwater

Monday, June 4, 6-9 p.m.

Join Clearwater for a complimentary evening of music, appetizers, and cocktails aboard the General Jackson Showboat. The 300-foot-long paddle wheel riverboat will depart for a two- to three-hour cruise on the Cumberland River. Take in views of the downtown Nashville skyline and enjoy live entertainment. Guests are welcome to attend and complimentary transportation to and from the dock and the Gaylord Opryland will be provided.

Monday, June 4, 1:30-3 p.m.

Agile is a project management method created and used by software developers to improve communication across teams and get timely results. During this session, learn why the Agile method is a great fit for insurance companies and how it can benefit your team.

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, and Clearwater’s Ryan Brassey discuss the benefits of implementing Agile at their companies and how it can be used across different types of projects and departments.

Go Inside the Mind of a Hacker with a Cybersecurity Expert

Monday, June 4, 3:30-5 p.m.

Cybersecurity expert Bryan Seely will take you inside the mind of a hacker during this super session focused on cybersecurity and the effort to prevent cyberattacks.

Take a Vendor Connect Tour

Monday, June 4, 9:50 and 11:10 a.m.

The IASA 2018 Vendor Connect Tours are guided tours that will lead attendees to solution providers in different categories, including Financial Software and Systems, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies. There are two times to choose from, depending on your schedule.
